A US Army soldier with a top security approval in Texas has been accused of handing over sensitive information about the main war tank of the army in exchange for Russian citizenship.
22 -year -old Taylor Adam Lee was arrested on Wednesday on charges of broadcasting National Defense Information for trying to export controlled technical data of a foreign and unlicensed technical data.
“This arrest is a dangerous reminder of the serious threat to our US Army,” Brigadier General Scene F. Stinachon, Commanding General of the Commandens Command of the Army, said.

Federal prosecutors said that Lee tried to hand over information to someone whom he considered to be a Russian intelligence officer in exchange for Russian citizenship.
The Department of Justice said Lee was posted at Fort Bliss in El Paso, where he had organized a top Gupta (TS) / Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) security approval.
In June, he allegedly sent online information about the M1A2 Abrams tank and offered assistance to Russia, saying, “The USA is not happy with me to try to highlight its weaknesses.”
He said, “At this point I also work voluntarily to help the Russian Federation, when I am there in some way,” he allegedly said.

He then sent a message to the person whom he considered a representative of the Russian government, stating: “Completed the mission.”

Lee’s arrest came on the same day when a soldier shot five other soldiers at Fort Stewart in Georgia. SGT. Officials said 28 -year -old Quornius Redford shot five soldiers in the 2 armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) area.
