Texas House Democrats on Monday dispatched the state in an attempt to stop a redistribution, claiming that the law to reduce the voices of black and latitian voters in the state of Texas is “deliberately using the racist map”.
The absence of Democrats means that the Republican is unable to proceed with a prescribed vote under the House of Rules, which prevent the potential passage of the revival law that will install a new Congress map that can give rise to five new GOP American house seats in the mid -term elections of 2026.
“This is not a decision we make lightly, but this is what we make with full moral clarity,” state rape. House Democratic Cocks President Jean Wu said in a statement on Sunday.

Most of the house Democrats fled to Chicago, while others visited New York and Boston.
The Texas House stated that at least 100 members of the 150-member chamber should be present to do business, and about 50 democrats are absent-which means the votes are stopped until they come back. It is not clear how the Democrats plan to move forward, and Wu told reporters that the exact plans were still in the air.
The revival law will transfer Democrat voters from toss-up districts to those who are more concrete Republicans, and other Republican voters also transfer voters to the districts that lend more towards the democrats-otherwise pave the way for more GOP seats.
This is not the first time the Democrats have fled the state in protest against the law.
In July 2021, more than 50 Democrats also left the state of Texas and led Washington, DC to tie the Texas Act, which would implement new voting sanctions after President Donald Trump’s loss of 2020 election, which some Republicans claimed that “theft”.
In particular, the measures that Democrats opposed, included new voter ID restrictions for the mail voters and drive-by-voting and extended polling hours. Similarly, this remedy included new boundaries for those working in elections, and stopped the local election officials from distributing mail-in ballots to anyone, which did not officially make a request.
Democrats finally returned to Texas weeks later when several members caught the Kovid -19 at DC, and the House Republican finally signed the law in September 2021 in August 2021 before the Republican Gove Greg Abbott of Texas.

Meanwhile, Abbott threatened to arrest the Democrats departing from the state on Sunday, not to return by 3 pm on Monday when the Texas House gets organized again. Nevertheless, there is no indication when Democrats plan to return to Texas.
Abbott said in a statement late on Sunday night, “Instead of doing their work on the immediate law affecting the life of Texas and voting, they have fled from Texas.
