The city of Lewisville, Texas, on Tuesday confirmed that a Tesla charging unit gave a large -scale garage fire that caused widespread damage to a house.
A city spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the two-alarm fire broke out on Monday at around 12:30 pm.
Spokesperson Matt Martuchi said, “The fire was launched by a car charger device in the garage on Monday, July 21 in Lewisville, Texas,” said.
The footage from the scene suggests that Lexus is completely burnt on the driveway and a house house with hole visible in the roof.

The homeowner said that when she plugs into her Tesla, she returned home and according to Martuchi, saw her charging unit holding the fire.
Martuchi said she quickly took Tesla out of the garage and parked her on the road, where it was unpublished.
