A 35-year-old Sevdar, who works in a temple in Kalkji area of south-east Delhi, was allegedly beaten to death after a quarrel with some people on Prasad on Friday night.
Delhi Police took action and measured one of the accused in the case.

The argument was reportedly given after the accused group, who was visiting the temple, demanded Sevdar to ‘Chuniprasad’, who was identified as Yogendra Singh, a native of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh, who had been working as a sewage in the temple for the past decade. Chuniprasad is a combination of a sacred headcharf and religious offering of food.
This argument soon became violent as the group hit the victim with a fist and then beat him with sticks. CCTV footage showed the victim on the ground, while at least three people were beaten up badly with sticks.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South -East Delhi Hemant Tiwari, the victim was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Center, where he bowed to the injuries during treatment.

The DCP said, “One of the accused, one of the accused, was identified as Atul Pandey, a resident of Joshinpuri, was caught by the local people on the spot and handed over to the police,” the DCP said. The accused is called 30 years old.
Police said that efforts are underway to identify the remaining accused and nab them.
