Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejshvi Yadav on Saturday declared himself as the Chief Minister of India for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections during a rally in Araha, in which CM Nitish Kumar was slammed to mimic his policies.
Yadav announced during Rahul Gandhi’s final phase, which was the Leader of the Opposition in the Po-Bound Bihar in the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ of the Lok Sabha.
Gandhi and the Congress had so far been fed up on the CM’s face for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. But Saturday’s announcement was made when Rae Bareilly MPs were present during the public meeting at RARA.
Tejashvi slam Nitish Kumar, supported himself
Addressing the rally, Tejashvi Yadav slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and called him a “copying CM”, who was just imitation of his policies and announced him. “Do you want an original Chief Minister or a duplicate?” He asked the crowd.
Tejashvi declared himself the “original Chief Minister” candidate of the alliance in the presence of Rahul Gandhi.
“Tejashvi is moving forward. The government is lagging behind,” he said at the rally, depicted cheers loudly.
Elections are scheduled to be held in Bihar in October or November, although the Election Commission has not yet announced the dates.
Akhilesh Yadav supported Tejashvi Yadav as Bihar CM Face of India Block
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav included Rahul Gandhi and Tejashvi Yadav for their “Voter Adhikar Yatra” and strongly supported the RJD leader as the Chief Minister of India Block for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Calling the journey a movement to protect democratic rights in Bihar, Akhilesh said that he “snatched” the people of the state for the threat of their rights.
“I congratulate Tejashvi ji for the journey he had done. He informed the people of Bihar that his rights were being taken away. I congratulate Tejashvi ji, Rahul Gandhi and the people of Bihar.
The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh praised Tejashvi’s previous term as Deputy CM of Bihar and highlighted his employment record.
“Tejashvi ji has shown his work before. And there was a time when he had given a record number, and was provided employment. Now, the youth of Bihar at least believe that once the government was formed, Tejashwi ji will again provide employment to him,” Akhilesh said.
Asked if Tejashvi Yadav would be the Chief Minister’s face for India’s block, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav gave his full support.
“… Tejashvi ji has shown his work here. And when he was in the government here, the decisions he took, what could be given to the jobs. What could be a better face than this? I assure him that we will help him in all our experiences.”
