The body of a teenage boy has been recovered from a lake in Birmingham.
The West Midlands police said that it was discovered that the boy was reported to be missing in water at Sutton Park after 18:00 BST on Thursday.
Bal said that “comprehensive efforts” were made by emergency services and Birmingham City Council to find them.
His death was not considered suspicious, it said, and his family was being supported.
The police force said that it was contacting the coroner and “supporting the boy’s family in this sad time”.
According to the Birmingham City Council, Sutton Park is one of the 2,400 acres of National Nature Reserve and one of the largest urban parks in Europe.
It includes Woodland, Heathland, Marshes and seven lakes, including Powell’s pool, where the teenager’s body was discovered.
It is the largest lake in the park in the shape of 48 acres.
