The United States set a world record in the 4×100 mixed relay on Saturday, covering a distance of 3 minutes, 18.48 seconds at the 2025 World Aquatics Championship in Singapore.
The old record 3: 18.83 was set by Australia in 2023.

This was only the second world mark in these championships. It came to one night when the United States won three gold medals, which was still a shortage championship for the team.
Katie Leedki won 800 freestyle and Greatchen Walsh took a 50 -meter butterfly. Americans now have eight gold medals. The championship closed on Sunday.
Despite the relay gold, the story was unbeaten in Ledecky in 800 freestyle. She first won that race in the 2012 Olympics and never lost in a big competition.

After 700 meters, the 18 -year -old summer Mcintosh of Canada was slightly ahead, but he faded and won in LEDECKY 8: 05.62, Lani Pallister of Australia with silver (8: 05.98), with a bronze for Mcintosh (8: 07.29).
McIntosh has won three individual gold medals in Singapore and was trying for five. She will come down, although she will be a favorite in 400 individual medals on Sunday.
Leadeki said she did not know that she was behind. He monitored a race result sheet to confirm this.
“I didn’t know,” he said. “I knew it was close to the whole way. There were times where I felt that I was just going away. I was just happy that I was there.”
He said, “You never know when you dive what everyone’s strategy is going to happen – or what is going to happen,” he said. “It was just fun to be in that kind of race. Just just try to make small tricks here and there.”
Leadeki has won 23 gold medals in the World Championship and 30 in total. Overall, add that nine Olympic gold medals and 14 Olympic medals. If you are counting, it is 44 Olympics and world medals.

Greatchen Walsh of the United States won 50 butterfly in 24.83 seconds for his second personal gold in the world. He won 100 fly. Australia’s Alexandria Perkins claimed Silver (23.51) with bronze for the Ruos Oneotter Dedic of Belgium (25.43).

France’s Maxim Grossset picked up his second gold, away from the world record of 49.45 in 49.45 in 49.62. Noa Ponty of Switzerland took Silver (49.83) with bronze for Canadian Ilya Kharun (50.07). Grusset also won 50 fly.
