Three -time world champion Tai Vofinden rode the speedway bike for the first time after a serious accident in Poland.
The 34 -year -old, from Skanthorpe, was placed in a medically induced coma in March, when he hit a fence behind a protective barrier during a race.
In a video posted on social media, Woffinden is shown at an empty Olympic Stadium, Vrockla before riding around the track.
Rider of Sheffield Tigers wrote: “The last four months have been the biggest challenge of my life, but as I do with everything, I knock down, come back straight and keep charging.”

Vophenden was included in the hospital, surgery and placed in a medically motivated coma after incorporating his Rzeszow team partner on 30 March.
He later revealed that he had a double brake in his right leg, a broken back, broken shoulders, several broken ribs, a puncture lungs, fragmented hands and widespread blood loss.
Vofinden is the most decorated rider in Great Britain after winning the Grand Prix World title in 2013, 2015 and 2018. He also ended the runner-up in 2016 and 2020.
