Incessant rains in the rivaraside stopped any drama in Tuesday’s T20 blast match between Durham and Lessesterreshire.
The match was eventually left after 20:05 BST, one hour and 35 minutes after the scheduled time.
Durham was due to women playing in the tournament at the same place on Tuesday, but that game was also washed off without ball.
Both Durham and Lessestershire take two points from the no-regalt, keeping both of them in a dispute to qualify for the quarter-finals from the northern group.
Durham is third in 30 points, four points ahead of Leacestershire in fifth place.
The group stage ends on Friday and separates the top seven teams with only eight points into a crowded table, even in seventh place Nottinghamshire – who has a game in hand on most of their fellow contestants – can still end in the top four.
