A desperate discovery for a volunteer fire chief was going on, which disappeared when flood waters swept their emergency vehicles near the Cow Creek in Texas Hill Country.
The previous president of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Gary Ludwig, said that Michael Philips, the Fire Chief of the Marble Falls Volunteer Fire Department, went missing in the early hours of Saturday, which was swept away by flood water, responding to a call near Cow Creek at a distance of 50 miles from Travis County, Texas, Texas.
Ludwig wrote in a post on Facebook, “Chief Philips was driving an emergency vehicle, when he went missing this morning.”
“The vehicle has been found; however, not found with the major vehicle, or as far as elsewhere,” they continued.

“As of the time of this post, 5 are known missing persons, and we currently recovered the remains of 3 persons,” Sheriff’s office has written in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday evening.
During a news conference on Monday, Burnett County Sheriff Calvin Boyd emphasized that the teams are dedicated to the ongoing discovery until all the missing persons are located, Kavuyu reported.

Officials said some methods of search – such as horse back or ATV patrol – are not currently viable due to dangerous conditions. Many low water crossings and bridges require repair, before the emergency team can fully reach all affected places.
According to his Facebook profile, Philips has served as a volunteer fire head since 1995.
