In May, after denying the allegations, Powell was convicted of three cases of overcharging with the intention of committing sexual offenses, and a count of an attempt to do so.
During the trial, the court heard that a woman woke up at around 05:00 BST to find Pavel, standing in her bedroom, a stranger for her.
He later discovered that he had also entered his child’s room and rumored through the drawer.
About an hour later, Powell entered the second property nearby.
The sleeping woman there used to find her to stand on her, masturbated with her genitals.
He was chased from the house and called the police.
Powell, an alumnus at the University of Swansi, entered a third property, who opened the door of his bedroom before escaping and awakened the resident.
He also tried to enter a fourth property, but failed.
In a victim’s influence statement, one of the women stated that the incident had a “massive influence” on her family.
He added his son, who has ADHD and Autism “woke up to see an unknown strange man in the bedroom”.
“This is a huge impact on his routine,” he said.
“He has trouble sleeping for months.”
Judge Paul Thomas Casey described Powell’s functions as “opportunistic but continuously,” as described, “adding:” You carried forward the student area roads in search of opportunities for sexual sexual activity.
“You used to walk even when people used to search you in their property.”
He dismissed Powell’s rescue – that he was looking for anonymous persons and a lost mobile phone – as “Ludicus”.
The judge told him, “There is no insight into your problem, and you don’t accept that you have one.”
Defending Mr. Powell, Mr. Avareip Chaudhary told the court how some “issues” had grown up despite the defendant coming from “love and care background” and were away from their family at the time of crimes.
The court heard that Powell had no previous sentence, but the police issued it to him in October 2023 with two community resolutions when he attacked two young women – one sexually and the other non -non -comfortable – Wine Street, Swansi.
Judge Thomas Casey said that it is “the biggest regret that you were not properly dealt with at that time through the courts”.
Carolina Mayorga-Ciliums from Crown Prosecution Service said that it “takes all the allegations of sexual offense”.
He said, “Waking up to find a stranger in his or his child’s bedroom should be a terrible experience and violates a person’s right to feel safe in your home,” he said.
Pavel will work in custody two-thirds of his five-year jail period before becoming eligible for release.
Judge Thomas also ordered Powell to sign the register of sexual criminals for life.
