NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule on Saturday slammed the BJP -led Mahayati Sarkar to fail to address the rising crime rate in Maharashtra, alleging that the miscreants had no fear of law.
Talking to reporters here, Baramati MP claimed that A 4,900 crore scam took place in Maji Ladki sister Yogana, the government’s major plan provides monthly assistance 1,500 to women.
He said that parts of the state including Pune and Beed districts have seen a stable increase in crimes, while the government remains a silent spectator.
“People have lost faith in the system. There is no fear of law. Who is supporting these criminals? Instead of seeing these questions, the government chooses to remain silent,” he said.
Sule criticized the delay in the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the 2022 murder of Parli-based businessman Mahadev Munde.
He said, “Munde’s wife, Danishwari attempted self-explosion and met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the government worked as the government. We demand a fair and transparent inquiry from sitting.”
Sule recently expressed concern about communal unrest in Yawat in Yawat in Dand Tehsil, where the group of individuals was angry with a social media post, determining vandalism and ablass properties.
“This is a sensitive area. Political leaders and outsiders are coming and causing disturbance.
Sule also requested Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Pune’s Parent Minister to ensure peace and communal harmony in punishment.
“We have deep roots in Daund. Let’s do not allow outsiders to harass its social taunts,” he said.
He claimed that Maharashtra has become an example of how power and wealth can be done.
“There is one 4,900-crores scam in Ladki Bahin Scheme. Farmers are committing suicide, and yet the government focuses on self-promotion, “he alleged.
Maharashtra Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkere recently admitted that about 26.34 lakh disqualified individuals including men were taking advantage of the benefits of Ladki Bahin Scheme.
On Fadnavis’s recent comments about the growing hooliganism in Pune, Sule said, “If you admit that there is an issue of law and order, what action have you taken? Who is protecting these contractors and gangsters?”
He also flagged off irregularities to deal with the voter rolls of the Election Commission, seeking detailed discussion in Parliament on electoral transparency and accountability.
