An MP accused of sexually assaulting two women at a private member club in London should wait for about a year before going on a test.
37 -year -old Central Safok and North Ipswich MP Patrick Spencer has been accused of attacking two women at the Gruto Club in Soho on the same day in August 2023 – before being selected.
He argued that he was not guilty during an pre-testing hearing in the Southwark Crown Court on Monday.
Judge Tony Bomgunner said that a test is expected to last about a week, starting on 13 July 2026. From Mr. Spencer, Safok, unconditional bail was allowed.
An prosecution lawyer underlined in some detail about the allegations against Mr. Spencer at the first magistrate court hearing.
Barrister Poli Dyer said that the alleged crimes took place on 12 August 2023 at the Grucho Club.
The court heard that a complaint was made to the club and the matter was given to the police.
Mr. Spencer was interviewed by the authorities earlier this year.
