Mr. Rodman said: “He has been remembered a lot by all his friends and family.”
The couple, friends, all the hiking and climbing people went on a journey near the stockport, in Majorka.
Luke Weaver, who knew Mr. Barrett as a friend and known as a climbing instructor at an indoor climbing center in stockport, said in a statement that it was read during interrogation that the group was “a mutual passion for climbing and hiking”.
Mr. Weaver, who was on a trip with his partner, stated that the employed hike – which was expected to take three to four hours – was considered “challenging in places”.
He had first completed the hike on several occasions, but neither Ms. Thompson nor Sri Barrett.
However, Mr. Wever said that he admitted that it was “well within the capabilities of the group”.
He said that he knew that there was a flood in the gorge, so he checked the weather forecast on the morning of 3 September.
This only predicted rain from 18:00 BST, by which they would be “well clear”.
He left a group of friends and planned to catch him after parking his car, but heavy traffic delayed for about two hours.
It started dripping in the afternoon, but Mr. Weaver said that it did not worry about it as he continued the hike.
‘People scream’
He said that there was no phone signal in the gorge and he could not contact with his friends.
Mr. Weaver said that he saw him in a “obstacle” between a German couple and two Spanish citizens between two boulders.
“Water [then] She appeared to come from somewhere. The sound was incredibly loud, people were screaming. ,
Mr. Weaver said that he could see that one of the group managed to grab on a rock, while one of the Spanish citizens was swept away in the edge and was being taken away.
His own partner managed to get out of the water and after a few minutes, others emerged from the Holocaust.
But Mr. Weaver said that the noise of water was very loud to communicate for him.
Ms. Thompson was seen flowing with Mr. Barrett, who tried to help before taking the present.
The remaining people who had faced minor injuries were thrown out of the gorge by helicopter.
Jyoti Gill, an assistant coroner of Manchester South, filed a decision for a sudden death for both Ms. Thompson and Sri Barrett.
“Sadly, both Sara and Alex were unable to climb for security and were swept away by flood waters,” said Ms. Gill.
