SpaceX’s 403-foot starship was set to lift the company’s starbase feature on Sunday evening in South Texas, which marks its most ambitious test yet after a string of failures.
But SpaceX’s tenth test flight was launched after being an issue with the ground system.
The company offered any other information on the X, saying, “To allow time to stand below today’s tenth flight to prevent any issue with the ground system,” did not give any other information on the X.
It came after several failures in recent years – including three devastating explosions alone in 2025.

Between January and June, SpaceX faced four starship setbacks-a dramatic explosion in its first test flight, a mid-failure explosion in the second, a fierce destruction in the third, and finally a ground-test explosion after the failures of those flights.
On Sunday, Engineer was about to try a series of high-risk maneuvers designed to prove the reusable of Starships, owner Elon Musk’s Marsk to reach the moon and eventually win Mars.
The goals for Sunday evening testing included deploying Starlink Satellite simulator, attempting landing burn with a backup engine, and guiding super heavy boosters in a controlled splashadown in the Gulf of the US.
SpaceX also expected to make its first attempt to return the starship up the upper stage at the launch site.
In the past, Musk has admitted that frequent failures are part of SpaceX’s rapid test-failure approach.
The founder of Tesla on Thursday teased Sunday’s Test flight for the first time, posted a picture of a shining spacecraft on X with Sandesh: “Getting ready to launch Starships.”

Starship is the most powerful rocket ever and is longer than Shani V which takes astronauts on the moon in the sixties.
The vessel consists of two stages: 232-foot super heavy boosters and 171-foot starship upper stage, where future crew and cargo tests will ride after successful success.
If this was successful, the new test mission would have marked a success in an attempt to create a fully re -purpose rocket system in Musk’s attempt that is capable of taking humans deep into space.

It would be a milestone for SpaceX, stating that it is necessary for its Artemis Moon lander contract with the ultimate goal of the musk of NASA and Musk’s Mars to colonize.
