High-profile British sports agent Jonathan Barnet has been accused of raping a woman more than 39 times in the US case.
In a civic complaint registered in an American district court in Los Angeles, an anonymous woman, referred to as “Jane Do”, says “Smuggled to Britain in 2017 in 2017” said “torture” and placed her as “sex slave” over a period of six years.
She says that Mr. Bharnet creates “frequent danger for his life and life of his minor children”.
75 -year -old allegations known to represent leading footballers including Gareth Bell and Jack Greelish, say “there is no basis and are untrue”.
A statement by his lawyers said, “We will strictly defend the trial through proper legal process. I am eager to completely release and obliterate.”
Mr. Barnet was ranked by Forbes magazine as the world’s most powerful sports agent in 2019.
He co-established the London-based Sports Agency Staller Group in 1994, eventually sold it to the Hollywood talent agency ICM partners in 2020. The ICM was later purchased in a deal by large rival CAA, which merged two of the two largest agencies in the world.
The civil case against Mr. Barnet filed on Wednesday uses the CAA Staler name to refer to its sports agency.
According to court documents, the pair first met through a professional athlete in London in the 1990s and re -joined in 2017 and then personally again.
Within a few weeks she moved to the UK with her teenage children – along with the Sports Agency CAA Staller, headed by Mr. Barnet, covered the moving expenses.
The filing states that on his arrival, he told him that he “ownership” and raped him in a hotel room.
Mr. Bharnet applied strict rules to obey him at all times, referred to him as “my master” and “never caused this pain” according to the lawsuit.
The complaint proceeded to describe allegedly describing derogatory acts including drinking urine or swallowing the stool.
The alleged torture also included the woman “tied overnight without food or water”.
She says she was smuggled, threatened and held in various places around the world, including Los Angeles from 2017 to 2023.
The trial stated, “It was said that she was powerless against a dangerous hunter, Ms. Dow presented the barnet seriously beating or even avoiding being killed.”
“Jane Do” is also sueing the Hollywood talent firm Creative Artist Agency and Sports Agency CAA Staller, where Mr. Bharnet was an acting president till his retirement last year.
The court documents tell CAA steller’s original companies, talent agencies ICM and CAA, “adequate payments were made between 2017 and 2023, which the woman was made sufficient despite not being athletes or agents.
It has been claimed that Mr. Barnet called him “slave” in the email sent from his work account.
The court documents stated that Mr. Bharnet used “the power to maintain money and tremendous control” on the fear of “his life and his children’s life”.
The lawyers for “Jane Do” stated that the case is about “institutional misuse at the highest level”.
They are seeking compensation on his behalf.
The CAA said it was first heard of the woman’s allegations in January 2024 when her lawyers demanded settlement – and the press inquired.
The CAA said in its statement, “While the complaint tries to connect these allegations to the business of CAA, Ms. DOE has never been a CAA, ICM or staller employees, advisors or contractors, nor has there ever been any professional relations with CAA, ICM or Staller.”
“CAA takes any charge of this nature seriously, and through a lawyer, immediately urged Ms. Do to contact the law enforcement in the United Kingdom.”
The statement said that Mr. Barnet had dropped out of the “steller” in February 2024.
