House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., Said on Sunday that Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-girlfriend Ghislane Maxwell deserves a lifetime imprisonment, rejecting the idea of a possible forgiveness for convicted sex traffic.
In an appearance on NBC’s “Meat the Press”, Johnson was asked if he had supported an forgiveness for Maxwell, but the chairman emphasized that the decision was eventually by President Donald Trump.
“I think there was 20 years of bile,” Johnson said behind bars behind Maxwell’s time. “I think he should be punished for life, at least. I mean, think of all these unfortunate crimes.”
Johnson said, “I mean it is difficult to keep in terms how bad it was and it orcasted it and had a large part of it, under the least criminal approval, I think there is an incompetent thing,” Johnson said that federal prosecutors identified more than 1,000 victims, many of whom were young. “So again, not my decision, but I have a lot of breaks up about it because there will be any proper person.”

While leaving the White House for Scotland on Friday, Trump was asked if he consider forgiveness or apology for Maxwell. The President left the door open, replying: “I am allowed to do it, but it’s something that I have not thought about.”
Johnson said he supports the position of the President, FBI and the Department of Justice to “release all reliable evidence and information”, but emphasized the need for security measures to protect the victims’ identity. As Maxwell, he was questioned by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanches at Federal Jail in Talhasi, Florida for two consecutive days. His lawyer told reporters that he answered questions on about 100 potential Epstein Associates as he is an angle for apology.
“This is the President’s decision,” Johnson said about a potential Maxwell forgiveness. “He said that he did not consider enough. I will not go in front of him. It is not my lane. It is not my lane to direct and control the representatives of the representatives and help us to use every tool within our arsenal to control the truth. I am clearly and clearly and again and again. Determine what they will do.

Johnson criticized a petition for the release of all Epstein files brought by reps. Thomas Messi, RWV, and Ro Khanna, D-Pen, as “careless” and poorly drafts, arguing that it ignored the federal rules protecting the grand jury content and “DOJ and FBI needed that they are also those who are false, which are false, which are on the basis of bringing and it is not.
The speaker said that the petition also lacked security measures for the minor victims who were “subjected to inexplicable offenses, evil was rejected” and those who raised the risk of being “unmasked”. Johnson said that Masi and Khanna said they do not want them to highlight the information of child abuse, sex abuse, but they cite the wrong provision of the federal code, and so it makes it unnatural. “The Speaker argued that the Republican on the House Rules Committee is committed to a better draft approach that will protect the innocent.

When asked about a possible forgiveness for Maxwell, Massey told NBC’s Christon Velkar first in the program that it would “be for the President, but if they have information that can help us, I think they should testify.”
Massey said, “Let’s get out of there, and whatever they need to do to force that testimony, as long as it is true, I will be in its favor,” Massey said.
Khanna said that he did not believe that Maxwell should be sentenced and he was worried that the blanches were meeting him. He said that he agrees with Massey that Maxwell should testify, but noted that he has been convicted for Perrys twice.

“This is why we need files. That’s why we need independent evidence,” Khanna said.
