Seven people of Newport have been accused of reporting violent disorder in the city.
GWENT police officers were called on commercial road after seeing a group of men fighting at around 15:20 BST.
Six people aged 25, 28, 33, 40, 42 and 52, and a 17 -year -old boy, who are all from Newport, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. Six people have been sent to custody, while the 17 -year -old has been released on police bail.
They are all due to appearing in the Newport Magistrate Court on 4 August.
A 40 -year -old eighth man from Newport has also been arrested for suspicion of violent disorder and is currently in police custody.
GWent Police CH SUPT John Davis said: “I hope these allegations show our communities that we invest heavy in responding and investigating the reports of crime and we are committed to helping the government to protect the roads.
“We will continue to work with our colleagues to identify issues and deal with the reasons around the event.”
