A tribute to 19 -year -old Scottish ice hockey player has been paid, who was killed in a decline in a resort in Ibisa.
Gary Kelly of Dundi is believed to have fallen from a balcony at the Ibisa Rocks Hotel at San Antonio on Monday.
It came two weeks after another Scottish tourist, 26 -year -old Ivan Thomson, fell to his death in the same premises.
Dundi stars stated that he was “heartbroken” about Mr. Kelly’s death, described him as a “very talented and charismatic” player.
Spain’s civil guard told the BBC that Mr. Kelly died in the early hours after falling from the balcony, and said that his death was an accident.
In a social media post, Mr. Kelly’s sister Pagi said that she was “life, the soul of everything”.
He said: “I don’t think this pain will stop anytime.”
Writing on Facebook, Mr. Kelly’s elder sister Kharis said: “Our hearts are beyond words.
“Our beautiful boy has gone to the other side, no words at all.”
He said: “We are asking all to respect our privacy as a family, while we try to navigate through this tragic news.”
Mr. Kelly’s girlfriend Lewis Esseri posted: “His passion and dedication were inspiring, whether in hockey, work, or with loved ones.
“Everything seems heavy, and the words can’t express love for Gary.”
Flower Dandi is left in Ice Arena and Aberdeen, where Mr. Kelly played for Aberdeen Links.
The team said he was one of his “most talented young stars”.
A statement said, “Gary was more than just a talented hockey player – he was a young man full of heart, passion and dedication.”
“On ice, he gave everything that he had. He brought an infectious love of energy, kindness and life that lifted everyone around him.”
His former school in Dundi, St. John Roman Catholic High School, said that said that They were heartbroken,
Mr. Thomson of Aberdeen died on 7 July in Ibisa Rocks.
His mother said in a social media tribute that he was on leave with friends.
“I am completely breaking my heart to write and tell you all, earlier this week my son Ivan was in a tragic accident, while in Ibisa on leave with his friends and sadly, he died,” he wrote.
“We are all broken.”
Ibisa Rocks, which has canceled its upcoming incidents, said it was working with the officials concerned.
It states: “Our guests have safety and goodness, and will always be our top priority.”
