Editor of North America in Scotland
A list of Donald Trump’s favorite items will not be very likely to include rain drops on fast and mustache on kittens (as Julie Andrews sung in music voice).
Instead, when playing golf in the President’s list, there will be a way to promote their business interests and third, trade deals that generate billions of dollars for the United States.
No wonder he looks very happy with himself – his working holiday in Scotland has reached these three passions.
The bill was added as a “private journey”, he did a lot of work.
He is taking a business deal with the European Union to take home with him which is not only the largest in history, it is also very favorable for America.
The European Union will spend hundreds of billions of billions of dollars with purchasing American energy and military equipment as well as billions of billions of invested in the American economy.
European goods in turn will be subject to 15% tariffs when they are exported to the US instead of 30% Trump.
The deal is an important achievement for Trump that he is able to be proud, even though he failed to finish “90 deals” in 90 days.
He also felt on Monday to host Sir Kir and Lady Stmper at his Turnberry Golf Resort.
It was a peculiar spectacle, the British Prime Minister was being welcomed as a guest in his country.
But the PM was designed to ignore the protocol when he was being treated for an unusual and valuable amount with the US President.
Trump, finally, is a person whose foreign policy is unusually affected by his personal relations with other world leaders.
His talks dominated the crisis in Gaza. The stammers appeared to make some headways because they pressed Trump to use their effects to get more food in the Palestinian region.
Trump later stated that the US would work to set up food centers with the UK and other European partners, saying that it would tell the Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to ensure that food is available to those who need it. “I want to make sure that they get food, every ounce food.”
He was officially giving green lights to give green lights to identify the position of Palestine, even if he is nothing that America will do. “I am not going to take a situation, I have no objection to taking any situation,” he said.
Trump made a significant change in his position over the struggle in Ukraine.
He revealed that he is now giving Russian President Vladimir Putin only 10-12 days to agree to a ceasefire, not 50 days which he had given earlier.
“There is no reason to wait … I want to be generous, but we are not seeing any progress right now.”
All these major announcements were exceptionally long, comprehensive and free during a free-wheeling press conference, during which the US President appeared very comfortably.
He was ready to talk about anything from wind energy to immigration, including his views on King Charles and London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
There was an issue that he could not escape, as much as he wanted.
He was compulsorily asked about Jeffrey Epstein, as he refuses to release all the files organized by the US government on the deceased sexual criminal about the long -running dispute, he follows him in the Atlantic.
A van showing an old picture of Trump at a party with Epstein was driving around the Aberdeenshire to ensure that the President could not escape the uproar.
He told us for the first time why he fell with humiliated financiers several years ago, saying that Epstein had poisoned employees from Trump’s Mar-e-Lago Estate in Florida and he refused to talk to him thereafter.
And he refused to send a lewd drawing to Epstein (Reported by The Wall St. Journal), claiming that he only takes very basic pictures of buildings.
The infiltration of Epstein scam in Trump’s Scottish Yatra is a reminiscent of his return to Washington to wait for him, but it did not seem to be a fierce mood.
Anti -Trump protests were staged. But he was largely away from the President and was remarkably silent than the previous visits.
The most firm protesters were Fans of Trump who went out to congratulate him as he landed in Prestvick and both Golf Resorts, welcoming big signs to Scotland.
The President also took every opportunity to use this journey to proudly promote two of his Scottish Golf Resorts.
He hosted a press conference with Ursula von Der Leyen, head of the European Union executive and Ursula von Der Leyen at the newly renovated Ballroom in Turnberry, claimed grand new roof and brand new windows to discuss the famine in Gaza at the same time.
On riding on her Marine One Helicopter, arriving at Aberdeenshire, she took some lap to show the new golf course before landing.
After a conversation with John Swine on Tuesday morning, he participated in the official opening of Trump International Golf Link in Balmi village with several VIPs and a fruit of TV cameras to the Scottish first minister.
It is exceptionally uncommon for an American President to use his office to promote his own business interests, but this is something that clarifies Donald Trump clearly.
The more he enjoys playing golf. Which he managed to do almost every day of this journey.
