New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday dug a sharp digging on Foreign Minister’s Jaishankar to make Chinese President Xi Jinping aware of bilateral relations, called it a “fully developed circus”, which, in his view, “is destroying India’s foreign policy”.“I think Chinese Foreign Minister will come and tell Modi about recent developments in China-India relations. The EAM is now running a full-fledged circus with the aim of destroying India’s foreign policy,” the Lok Sabha leader of the opposition posted on X.

Jaishankar criticized the Congress leader soon after posting about his meeting with the Chinese President in Beijing. Minister Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was in China to attend a meeting of Foreign Ministers.Jaishankar shared his post on X that he shared that he met President Xi with fellow SCO Foreign Ministers and said: “My fellow SCO called President Xi Jinping in Beijing this morning with Foreign Ministers. He approved the recent development for us to congratulate President Droopadi Murmu and Prime Minister @narendramodi.The Foreign Minister had a packed diplomatic schedule in Beijing. On Monday, he met his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and discussed a broad roadmap for bilateral relations. Emphasizing the importance of mutual respect and long-term thinking, Jaishankar said: “This evening held a detailed talks with a member of the Polit Bureau and FM Wang Wang Yi in Beijing. Talked about the need for a far-flung approach for bilateral relations and formed a stable and creative relationship.”Highlighting India’s priorities, he said: “To address aspects related to the boundary, we are supported, to normalize people’s exchange from people and avoid restrictive business measures and obstacles. It is believed that on the foundation of mutual respect, mutual interest and mutual sensitivity, the relationship can develop with a positive trajectory.”Jaishankar also met Chinese vice -president Han Zheng and focused on a visual improvement in bilateral relations. He expressed optimism that the conversation during his visit would continue to pursue the relationship. Jaishankar confirmed India’s support for the post of SCO President of China and mentioned the commitment to meaningful results from the group of New Delhi.
