Ukrainian officials have said that Russia has launched hundreds of drones and missiles on western Ukraine overnight in recent weeks.
Strike was reported at Zaporizhjia, Dnipropetrovsk and LVIV, where one person was killed and others were injured.
Foreign Minister Andree Sibiha said the strike exposed why diplomatic efforts and strong air rescues to end the war were “important”.
It comes in the form of Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski, who suggested Switzerland, Austria or Turkey as possible places for possible peace talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The possibility of a tripartite meeting held by the US came to the White House before the US President Donald Trump met Putin in Alaska before hosting Zelanski and other European leaders at the White House.
Zelancesi has expressed his desire to meet Putin in “any format”.
Hungary Foreign Minister Peter Szinjarto on Thursday offered Budapest as a possible site for such a summit.
Hungary Prime Minister Victor Orban has maintained a close ties with Moscow and disappointed the European Union’s efforts to support Ukraine in the war with Russia in the past – so not all can be seen as a neutral host.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday morning, Zelanski did not discuss Hungary’s proposal – but said he asked Trump to pressurize Hungary in an unlocked talks to join the European Union for Ukraine.
“Trump promised that his team would work on it,” he said.
The Ukrainian leader also said that the Russian forces were working extensively on the southern front line in the Zaporizhia region – one of the four regions of Ukraine that Russia now claims as its own.
“We can see that they continue to move the part of their troops from the curse direction to Zaporizhia.”
Ukraine’s Air Force counted 614 aerial vehicles amidst overnight attacks by Russia, of which 577 said it had stopped.
External Affairs Minister Sibiha said that it includes a mixture of drones, hypersonic, ballistic and cruise missiles.
He wrote on social media on Thursday, “One of the missiles killed a major American electronics manufacturer in our western region, causing serious damage and casualties.”
