PM Modi targeted RJD, Congress in Bihar
PM Narendra Modi on Friday provoked a previous comment by a Congress Chief Minister against migrants of Bihar, accused the Congress and its allies of contempt for the people of the state and treat them as “vote banks” only.
A swipe at a rally in Bodh Gaya, Bihar at a rally in a rally, PM Narendra Modi said, “For him, the people of Bihar are only one vote bank; they have no concern for the struggles of the poor. The sons and daughters of Bihar get employment and live a life of dignity here.”
Modi was clearly referring to the remarks of former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, who before the 2022 assembly elections “Late Up, Bhaiya of Bihar asked not to enter Punjab”. The remarks started sharp reactions from leaders like Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.
