Leader of Opposition Daniel Lister, Leader of Opposition, said: “Reform publicly declared a boycott of training, yet many of his councilors still participated.
“It shows that they cannot be trusted to stand with their words.”
Arnul said in May that his group would follow the party’s national policy of not participating in any equality or climate change training.
The council conducted equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) training, but a spokesperson confirmed that the session was included in a broader session on “legitimate decisions” back in June, covering various subjects.
The spokesperson said, “The decision to combine EDI in a broad legal session was made to consolidate several statutory training topics, which recognize the amount of newly elected members and follow the importance of providing a practical and managed schedule,” the spokesman said.
Jonathan Harris, leader of Liberal Democrats, said: “He made a very loud song and danced about not participating, but 25 of them did it.
“This is another example of saying one thing and doing another in my view.”
Reform won 42 seats in the council in May.
Harris also said that he was worried, councilors in the session did not understand the specific climate change law.

Labor group leader Sally Kibal also said: “[Reform] Equality and diversity were going to boycott training – and then two -thirds changed when it was revolted under a different name.
“They were going to scrap the net-zero-and then only ended the local milestone and agreed to do what he could do towards the national net-zero.
“We need to know what is the improvement in West Norters and what they will do.”
Arnul told the local democracy reporting service: “Legal structure training that was participated by correction councilors and cabinet members covered all legal decisions, including local government, housing and scheme as well as their legal duties and responsibilities.
“It is important that all councilors understand their legal duties and responsibilities so that we can administration of a reliable and effective reform council.”
