A reform UK councilor who was elected to the Devon County Council in May has been expelled from the party.
Reform UK said it had expelled Ed Hill to publish a letter about free school food in the name of all reforms Devon councilors without its consent.

The spokesperson said: “We will not tolerate any councilor using the names of our colleagues without our consent.”
Hill sent a letter to all the MPs of Devon and asked the media to support the automatic nomination for free school food.
Michael Fif Cook is the leader of the reform group on the Dewon County Council, who now has 17 members.
He said: “Despite having a good reason, attaching the names of councilors to a letter without their consent is completely unacceptable behavior.
“The Clar Hill not only did this, but then made the letter public – including sending it to media and MPs – meaning that disciplinary action was unavoidable.”
Hill said that he really believes that he has obtained permission from allies through one of the correction councilors.
“I think it looks like a exaggeration and I am still committed to the improvement cause,” he said.
“Nobody contacted me about the suspension before the improvement.”
Hill was removed from his role as the chairman of the exeter branch of colleagues, after reporting the associates on the concerns related to overspeeding at the first election expenses.
He said: “I was able to communicate directly with my fellow councilors through formal party channels – instead of being excluded from all internal communications – this confusion could be easily avoided.”
Reform UK said that it would not take any action against Alphaington and Count Member Neel Stevens about the return of its election expenses.
Devon and Cornwall police said that there were no arrests or allegations at this point, but the inquiry is going on.
