A prominent teacher, who was put in jail to attack a fellow teacher with a metal wrench, has been released four months after being sentenced, confirmed by the jail service.
54 -year -old Anthony Felton was sentenced Two years and four months St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic in Abberwon in jail after attacking his deputy, Richard Pike at a broad school.
51 -year -old Mr. Pike was treated for minor injuries in the hospital, when Felton attacked the school’s CCTV from behind in an incident.
Felton of Penirhole Road, Gorsinen, Swanasi attempted serious physical damage with intentions and was jailed in the Swansi Crown Court in April.
The court heard that Felton was distressed after finding out that he was the father of a fellow teacher’s child and recently Mr. Pike came to know in a relationship with the same teacher.
In a victim’s statement statement, Mr. Pike told the court Felton, on which he fully trusted, brought a metal wrench to his office and rained the “number of blasts” on it.
Mr. Pike fell to the ground and tried to kick Felton before helping the listening colleagues.
After the attack, Felton threw the wrench and sent an email before sending an email to all employees before sending an email to all employees.
The jail service has confirmed that he was released under the Home Detention Curfew Scheme this month.
This means that it will be subject to a curfew applied by strict license conditions and electronic monitoring.
It is understood that the final decision on issuing it was made by the jail governor.
The prison service spokesman said, “The criminals issued on the home detention curfew are subjected to strict conditions and should be tagged. If they break the rules they will be sent back to jail.”
