Exclusive – Former state secretary Mike Pompeo says that recently the US military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities sent a hint to the world.
Pompeo, who served as the director of the CIA and later as the top American diplomat in the first administration of President Donald Trump, said in a national special interview with Fox News Digital that the attack gave a message “that the US is back in the world.”
And regardless of the hot debate on the President’s claims this week, the attack “slanting Iran’s ability to get nuclear weapons”, Pompeo said “had sufficient damage” and, as a result, “Americans are safe.”

Pompeo warned that “there are some risks in the near period, of course.
Praising the Trump administration to deal with the strike on Iran, Pompeo said, “I think they have got this pitch correct. They got the messaging correct. They also conducted an incredibly good military operation.”
Trump says that if Iran rebuilt the nuclear program, we will strike again
And he said that the US is now close to this risk “Regarding the risk that you have an Ayatollah, a democracy, a thug that will have the ability to create a nuclear weapon program.”
Pompeo was interviewed before delivering a speech called “reconstruction American Preventive” at the World Affairs Council in New Hampshire.

Pointing to the strike on Iran, Pompeo told Fox News that America’s preventive against top opponents worldwide “extended as a result of what happened in the Middle East. It is undoubtedly true.”
In his speech and during his interview, Pompeo also called the right and separatists on the left to leave the US global leadership.
He said, “They are in my own party and on the left people who do not think about the affairs of American leadership in the world, that it is not worth working hard for the United States to protect its people,” he argued.
And Pompeo said that his message is “American leadership absent in the world, we are all very less safe.”
Keep an eye on these Republicans in the 2028 presidential race to make Trump a success
Pompeo took a difficult look at the nomination of the 2024 Republican Presidential President and made several trips to Iowa and New Hampshire, the first two states have traditionally voted in the GOP President’s primary.
And his return to the Granite state speculated about a possible 2028 White House dialect. Wednesday night was held at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics of St. Anslam College, which should be a stop in the first-in-the-nation president primary state for people with national ambitions for decades.
“Yes, unavoidable. This question comes up when a person who is a former secretary travels to this beautiful place,” Pompeo told Fox News, as he referred to New Hampshire.

Pompeo said, “I really came here because I want to be a part of the policy debate. What happens after three and a half years from now is a very long way.”

But at this extremely initial point in the 2028 election cycle, he did not deny a possible White House run, “We will see what the good God brings in a few years.”
Asked if he was not deciding anything below the road to serve the nation, Pompeo told Fox News, “No, if I get an opportunity for a call and a place that I think I can make a difference, I will do it every time.”
