The Florida police bomb squad used explosives on various household items to educate the public about the dangers of fireworks before July fourth.
Fort Lauderdel Police Bomb Squad demonstrated potential damage, which can provoke possible damage to the human body, using the similar explosives of M -80 on paint can, cantalup and watermelon.
Fort Lauderdel Fire Rescue and Browd Health released a video of the demonstration to educate the community about security and address injuries related to common fireworks.
Emergency physician of Browd Health, Dr. Robert Chisholm said, “The fourth of July is one of the busiest time of the year for our emergency departments.” “We usually see an increase in travels due to fireworks and sparkler injuries, dehydration and heat related diseases, food poisoning, severe sunburn and alcohol -related accidents.”

The fourth history of July: Why do American fireworks mark this opportunity
The US Consumer Produce Safety Commission (CPSC) urged to take precautions last week, which suffered 11 fireworks related deaths and an estimated 14,700 injuries last year. Most deaths included misuse or device malfunction.

According to CPSC, deaths increased by 38% in 2024 compared to the previous year, while injuries increased by 52% during the same period.
