Xiaomi is expected to launch a new smartphone in early 2026, initially called Redmi Turbo 5 in China and possibly released globally as Poco X8 Pro. This upcoming device is set to introduce the upcoming diminal 8500 chipset of MediaTek, which can distribute comparable performance of Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, a flagship model known for its high benchmarks.
Poco X8 Pro: Major features and performance (given)
The Poco X8 Pro will probably change the current Poco X7 Pro, priced at Rs. 22,999 in India. The upcoming device is expected to offer a better price by upgrading the processor to more than 8400 advanced 8500. The new chipset uses the 4-nenometer construction process of TSMC and includes the Mali G720 GPU, which enables it to score above 2,000,000 on the AnTuTu Benchmark test, Namalobac. These performance figures align with Snapdragon 8 General 3 processor found in Galaxy S24 Ultra, which was a top-tier smartphone released less than two years ago.

With its powerful chipset, the Poco X8 Pro may feature a 6.67-inch OLED display, which can have a resolution described as “1.5K” and a high fresh rate of up to 165Hz, possibly installing a new standard for mid-range devices. The design may include a metal frame and a thin, mild construction, which offers chassis IP68 or IP69 water and dust resistance, usually found on high-end models.

In addition, a new device has recently obtained certification from Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) under Model No. 2511FPC34G, which matches POCO X8 Pro. The model appears to be a global version of Redmi Turbo 5, which bears the model number 2511FRT34C.

While the exact launch date remains uncertain, Poco X8 Pro is expected to compete with other mid-range smartphones like Oppo Reno 15 Pro, Honor Power 2, and IQO Z11 Turbo, all of which can facilitate all the same specifications and powerful dimensions 8500 chip.
