Brian Kohberger saw a news article about a white Hyundai Illentra, identified as a suspicious vehicle in Idaho student murders and was immediately nervous, which analyzed his phone according to the forensic team.
“I think the vehicle was a huge stress point for him, as he registered it to park it there,” Jerid Barnhart said, who works with his wife Heather in a digital forensic firm Celebright. “He had a PDF download like a list of Hyundai Elecentras to the university, you know, and you can see this long list of cars.”
Kohberger was attending Washington State University, which was just 10 miles from the crime site adjacent to Idaho University, and was pulled on driving near both campuses in the weeks before the murders.
