Phillies Slugger Bryce Harper was restored before the opener against San Diego from Philadelphia’s opener on Monday, which was after a term in the injured list with correct wrist inflammation.
Harper went into the 10-day injured list on 6 June.
The two-time National League MVP and eight-time MLB All-Star have killed nine domestic runs, 34 RBI and 57 matches with eight stolen bases. He missed out on five matches from 26 May to 2 June, with Atlanta’s Spencer Sturdear with a right elbow after hitting the pitch.
Harper said that when he went to IL that he felt pain in the wrist during a large part of the previous season, when he hit 30 homeers, while the Philis helped NL East win.
Phillies entered the first place in Monday’s game in the division. They are 13–14 in the total this season without Harper in the lineup.
To create a room on the 26-man roster, Infielder Buddy Kennedy was nominated for assignments.
