Shooting stars from the annual Perseids meteor shower have illuminated the night sky all over the world and the world in the last few nights. A bright meteor is formed when dust particles fall from the swift-tatal comet and enter the Earth’s atmosphere.
Astro Dog’s astronomers, a small Scarborough -based Astronomy Company, captured the event from North York Morse National Park at its peak on 13 August. To maximize his possibilities of filming the glittering show, he used a camera with a “very sensitive sensor and a large aperture”, which was described as 45 degrees from “Radiant Point” – “where meteors appear to radiate”. According to Astro Dog, there is a chance to catch a glimpse or a video as well as being active by August 24.
