Srinagar: PDP on Sunday confirmed the demand for self-regulations in J&K, saying that this border would proceed to trade, relaxation of travel between the union territory and POK, and a “dignified resolution” for long-term political conflicts. The party said a day before its Foundation Day, “PDP was never another party … We were standing for self-rule … We believed that peace in South Asia runs through the hearts of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and not on their heads.”Since unveiling its self-rule theory in 2008, which proposed cross-Loka economic integration and a dual currency system between Jammu and Kashmir and PoK, the party carved on a separate political route. Sources said that unlike most regional parties, which focused on restoring the state after the cancellation of Article 370 in 2019, the PDP has consistently called for complete restoration of the article-and now appears to be with the intention of re-concentrating the political discourse around its self-regulations.This year was the official message of party president Mehbooba Mufti’s American-educated eldest daughter, irritable, this year. Eruthic, who edited PDP’s monthly mouthpiece Speak Up, said the party’s Foundation Day was “a moment to reflect the idea that gave birth to PDP”.He said, “In 1999, my grandfather Mufti Mohammad Sayeed established this party with the belief that the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve dignity, dialogues and democratic rights,” he said in his widespread message. His presence has speculated his entry into politics, especially his younger sister Iltija Mufti has been a major voice since 2019. However, PDP spokesperson Mohit Bhan said that the current role of Iratch remains within the party’s communication team.IRTIQA has gradually stepped into the public sector in the last few months, reflecting the political climb made by Iltija once. Sunday’s message marked his most visible role.
