The office of Palestinian President Mahmood Abbas on Saturday urged the US government to reverse their decision to cancel their visa, weeks ago to appear at an international conference about appearing at the United Nations annual meeting and making Palestinian kingdom.
US Secretary Marco Rubio canceled the Visa of ABBAS and 80 other officials before the UN General Assembly’s next month’s high-level meeting, the Foreign Department revealed on Friday. Exceptions were given to the Palestinian representatives handed over to the United Nations Mission.
The step is the latest in a series of steps of Trump administration, which is lifted to target Palestinians with visa restrictions.
The State Department said in a statement that Rubio ordered some new visa application from Palestinian authorities, including Palestine Liberation Organization to refuse.
The statement said, “It is in our national security interests that they should not be accountable to PLO and PA not to comply with their commitments, and to reduce the possibilities for peace.”

The Palestinian Authority condemned visa withdrawal as a violation of American commitments as the United Nations host country.
Abbas has addressed the Mahasabha for many years and generally led the Palestinian delegation.
Palestinian President spokesman Nabil Abu Rudine told Associated Press at Ramallah on Saturday, “We ask the US administration to reversed our decision. The decision will only stress and increase.”
He said, “We are in touch with Arabia and abroad tomorrow, especially concerned with the issue. The effort will continue around the clock,” he said.
He urged other countries to put pressure on the Trump administration to reversed the verdict.
European Union Country Palestinian leaders back
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barot opposed the sanctions on access to the United Nations General Assembly, and said he would discuss the issue with the European Union counterparts.
He said, “The United Nations Headquarters is a place of neutrality, a sanctuary dedicated to peace, where conflicts are resolved,” he said on Saturday. “United Nations General Assembly … Access may not be banned.”
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that he spoke with Abbas on Saturday to tell him that Madrid supports him and the visa refusal is called “unjust”.
“Palestine has the right to hear its voice on the United Nations and all international forums,” he said on X.
