Fans will be given a chance to pay their honors to the heavy metal legend Ozi Osbourne, when their funeral travels through Birmingham’s house.
The Black Sabbath will be brought back to the singer’s body for a procession that will travel with Broad Street at the center of the city from 13:00 BST on Wednesday.
A Horse will make its way for the Black Sabbath Bridge and the bench, where thousands of fans have left messages and floral tributes. Local musician Bosein will be with a procession with brass.
Lord Mayor of Birmingham Zafar Iqbal said: “We are going to pay our final respect and tribute to one of the greatest living legends of Birmingham.” Osborne died on 22 July at the age of 76.
His death was less than three weeks, when he with his band peers, in the Black Sabbath’s farewell gig, participated back in the beginning. Dozens of musicians, including members of Metalica and Aerosmith, performed at the Villa Park Concert.
Describing him as “son of Birmingham”, Iqbal said: “He placed Birmingham on the map. He placed Aston on the map.”
He said that he was standing in a queue to sign a book of mourning, where he spoke to fans, and said: “The love he showed to Ozy and his family was immense.”
The city was proud to host the event, he said, and said that he was grateful that the family had offered to pay to make it competent.
