Last week, the Trump administration announced that it is starting a new program that would allow Americans to share personal health data and medical records in health systems and apps run by private technical companies, promising that it would make it easier to reach health records and monitor welfare.
The CMS will be in charge to maintain the system, and officials have said that patients will need to opt for their medical records and data sharing, which will be protected.

Officials said that patients would benefit from a system that allows them to call their own records quickly without hallmark difficulties, such as the use of fax machines to share documents that have prevented them from doing so in the past.

CMS already has information about more than 140 million Americans who enroll in Medicare and Medicade. Earlier this month, the federal agency agreed to hand over its mass database, including house addresses, exile officers.
