A celebrity osteopath described as “one of London’s most virtuous wars” has secretly put in jail to take pictures and videos of thousands of women – many of which attended their East London Clinic.
Danish National Turben Steig Harsburg, 64, filmed and photographed around 2,000 women in his old street practice for more than a decade.
They were waiting for them on the beaches, on the sidewalks, at the bus stop or for the tube and when they were in their homes.
Tower Hamlets’s Harsborg was sentenced to three years and five months in jail in the Snarecarbrook Crown Court after accepting eight cases of Vioorism.
Harsborg claimed a celebrity client list including tennis player Caroline Wozniacki and actress Anna Frame, although he is not related to the case.
The victims who were spy on could not be identified with images, said Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
Alex Wechelbam from CPS said: “Harsburg operated in a simple scene for a very long time and, after targeting thousands of women in 12 years, we believe that the measure and importance of their insults make them one of the most virtuous wars in London.”
Their “careful planned acts” involved in secretly installing secret cameras in their homes along with the film women, said Ms. Wechelbam.
He said, “Harsburg deliberately misused the faith of his unknown patients and filmed them in intimate positions and targeted strangers for his own sexual satisfaction,” he said.
Their crimes came to light when a member of the public called the police in December last year when he parked Harsburg on the back seat of his Lexus vehicle outside the university residence in Isington in North London.
He was wearing black gloves and sitting on top of black plastic bags, and a telescope and video camera were found in the car.
After the arrest, the investigators found thousands of photos and videos on the equipment in their possession, including women’s images and two when they were having sex.
