Major league baseball Facing a serious dilemma with online dangers directed on its players and their families.
Baltimore Oriols Pitcher Cad Povich was the second MLB player this week to reveal a terrible threat to his wife from a disgruntled fan on social media. The left -arm pitcher posted a screenshot of the message, including a clear threat to sexual violence against Povich’s wife.

Povich’s post on X Reed said, “I think I have not performed or achieved the results that I, my team, or many fans, so I get disappointed.” “Say what you want about me in that regard. However, my wife is unacceptable to go out of your way to DM and what is shown in this image is crossing the line.”

“I, or especially my wife public, still does not have to worry about our safety in the church, because how I perform on the mound.”
The message was sent to Povich after Houston Astro’s 10–7 victory on Oriols on Friday night after pulling Povich with two outs.
“I am coming here to say something about this because I know that my family is not alone,” his message continued. “This stuff is not in the game.”
And Povich, unfortunately, was not alone in dealing with harassment.

On Thursday, Seattle mariners Pitcher Tyler Syudo shared a dangerous threat to the purpose of her and her girlfriend. Saucedo came to the message after recording only one, allowed four hits and played a batsman in Philadelphia Philis’ 11–2 victory on Seattle on Wednesday.
The message associated with impurity involves a threat that Saucedo’s “head is blown into pieces,” and that his girlfriend “would also be terrible to die.”
“I think I have to go as a whole after this year and after this year. No one is more disappointed than how this year has gone for me. Believe me, I want to win as much as you all as I am here or not. But I have to message this bull — and tell me what I am doing and tell me what I am doing.”

These incidents are not isolated.
Last month, Boston red sox Pitcher Lucas Giolito said that he faced MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred about online bullying. He said that he believes that online sports betting and social media access have increased the harassment faced by athletes.
“It only goes so far,” he said. “Is this a player beating a player in front of his apartment building by some disgruntled man who lost a condition for real action?”
