Despite Nuno’s latest comments, it seems clear that there is considerable friction behind the curtain in the city ground.
If the forest wins the game, it becomes as difficult to dismiss it.
But can Nuno really expect to top the dispute with the owner and the head of football?
European football expert Julian Laurence told BBC Radio 5 Live, “This is a fight that will lose Nuno,” BBC Radio 5 Live.
“We all know that once you start questioning your boss, it happens. To come out with this unpublished for him, he introduced it all over the world, he knows that it is coming and he cannot win this fight.
“We also know that he does not get more Edu. He was already there when Edu arrived at the club, and we all know when a new game director comes, he likes to come with his people.”
Former Manchester City defender Nedam Onuoha said Noono could now consider resigning that the relationship was “broken”.
“Noono’s stock is so high with fanbase, he would like to fully believe it,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“But this is also very strange for them because they will be grateful for what they have done by the owner for the club in the last few years.
“With Adu to come to the club in such an important position, he would like to play his own people, because he would not really fully trust the person who is already in the game? If he can now choose a manager, can he choose Nuno?
“It will be disturbed for the long time as long as possible, but Marincis and Adu will not be vested to fail for him so that they can make changes.
“But the relationship is broken and I won’t be surprised if Nuno moves before being dismissed.”
