The roads of West London are filled with color and sound for the first day of the annual Noting Hill Carnival.
In the bright costumes, musicians and dancers took the children’s parade in Termac, as Europe’s largest street party was running.
The day began with an explosion of color as the children had to get the Revellers for J’ouvert on 06:00 BST, waking up with bright paint and powder on the streets.
J’ouvert, which means “day of day” or “day opening” in French Crole, the bank holiday marks the beginning of the carnival ceremony in the weekend.
