Noting Hill Carnival began on Sunday morning with a color explosion, as the Revellers met for J’ouvert in West London.
The initial program began with the children’s parade at 06:00 BST, in which the roads had to wake up with bright paint and powder.
J’ouvert, which means “day of day” or “day opening” in French Crole, the bank holiday marks the beginning of the carnival ceremony in the weekend.
The parade will be held later on Sunday morning, followed by the sound system and live phases of music.
The event continues with adult parade, more live stages and sound systems on Monday.
In both days, there will be a 72 second silence at 15:00 to remember the 72 people lost in the Granfel Tower Fire, as well as who have died in the Carnival in recent years and Kelo Kochar Whose murder became one of the catalysts for the incident in 1959.
