The secret is out, and we get the official form of the first headphone 1 of nothing at the end. Since the first leakage of the headphone, the abnormal design of the audio wearer immediately attracted attention. While the design has increased over me for the last few days, it is worth noting that specifications, features and audio quality are real deal, which makes it a market disruption.
Nothing is, we have gained significant popularity for its uniquely designed smartphones in the inexpensive and middle-limit market. The company has also entered the audio wearable market with nothing, and now it has taken a new road by collaborating with the British-based audio company KEF. With collaboration, the company has launched the Nathing Headphone 1, which has definitely won me during early use. It should also be noted that with the headphones, the company has also launched nothing X app that enables users to customize their hearing experience. Now, without further movement, let’s get a glimpse of how to occupy the audio wearable market.
Nothing Headphone 1: Design and Building
During the launch, all of us got a big glimpse on the headphone 1 design, which we have seen on leaked images and videos. Well, initially I was not sure about the design, but as soon as I got my hand in real time, my point changed immediately. If I have nothing to describe the design of the headphone 1 in a word, I would simply say “risky”, but in a good way.
Headphone 1 has a smooth and light design that sits comfortably on your head, matching all premiums. Its aluminum earcups reminded me of Apple Airpod Max, but takes the transparent glass design design with a cassette design to another level. It is just impressive at first glance. Headphone 1 comes in signature colors of nothing: black and white. I have found a white version, which I like at all, but it cannot serve the Indian audience and that is why we will discuss in the entire review.
Another feature that requires highlight is the roller button, which glides as soon as the volume is adjusted. It is one of my favorite control buttons, unlike touch control, is very easy to access and less misleading. It has a separate paddle button to change any specific audio track or fast-forward, which gives it a unique touch. I am not testing the instant shortcut button yet because it will be the best when it will be added with Nothing phone 3,
Nothing Headphone 1: Performance and Sound Quality
If you look closely on the specifications, nothing headphones provide some premium features that can attract buyers. Additionally, KEF played a major role in the sound department, the headphones are actually something to impress. It has a 40 mm dynamic driver surrounded by 8.9 mm pu that blocks unwanted sound without ANC. This increases sound experience, and users can enjoy more and more bass, especially as the wishes of the Indian audience.
Hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) is also promising, as the background noise is completely blocked. However, I am not so sure about transparency mode so far, because the headphones sit quite tightly over the ears, eventually blocking the noise. However, I have to get it through more tests so that the difference is fully understood when ANC is closed. I also managed to test the head tracking facility, and so far, it looks good because it manages the music very cleverly, even when you walk. Overall, nothing has a lot of things in the headphone 1, looking at the price point, and it definitely competes with brands in the sound segment.
Well, nothing has many things to experience about the headphone 1, but the initial experience has been fulfilled and exciting. Overall, facilities and sound quality are quite promising, and nothing in the audio wearable market is my upgradation in brand value.
