After the storm of Northern Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina at the end of 2024, slow reaction and inadequate aid were also widely reported after Storm Helen.

“The emergency is executed locally,” he said. “They are state-related and then the federal government comes and supports you. “We are fundamentally improving that agency,” NoM said. “President Trump in his privilege, as he likes to do, wants to change the name of things. He can come up with a new name for this agency that reflects the fundamental change that happens there. But this agency will no longer be a bureaucracy agency where people will have to wait 20 years to pay their claims.
“It will be an agency that immediately tells the state, and from that local emergency management director, ‘What do you want? How can we support you?” And then trains them to set the skills that they need to serve their people, as they are always fast there.
It is not clear what the new agency can be named.
