RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday reacted to the US tariff to India, saying “there is no friendship under pressure”.
Speaking during an incident in Delhi, a day after the additional 25% of American tariffs were effective, Bhagwat said that the government will take its decisions on Trump’s tariff and the RSS does not affect the government on such issues.
The RSS chief, without taking the name, took a jib to the US on tariff, stating that the international trade should be “without any limits” and “not under pressure”.
“International business is necessary and should be … but it should not be under any pressure. There is no friendship under pressure. It should be without any limit and mutual option. It should not be under pressure. We should not come under pressure. I do not need to tell this personally,” Bhagwat said during briefing.
He said that the RSS does not affect the government in such cases and said that the government knows what needs to be done.
He said, “We do not affect the government to answer this way or according to Trump, they have to handle what they do, what they want to do. Whatever they will do, it is necessary for us to support it. They have to decide what they have to do. They know how to do. They will take care of obstacles.”
