This called for the formation of a President’s Task Force with comprehensive powers to end several struggles, including the resurrection of terrorist Islamist group Boko Haram, in the northeast.
Last week, the army reported to kill about 600 terrorists in the area in the area in eight months. There is no independent confirmation of the claim.
The Nigerian Air Force said it would continue to provide air cover to the ground troops that eliminate jihadi bases in the northeast.
