Texas House Democrats who left the kingdom to block a vote on redistribution were hosted by California leaders on Friday. California village Gavin Newsome, House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi and other prominent California Democratic leaders spoke at a press event with Texas MPs.
“We are running away from nothing,” Texas Rape N Johnson said at the beginning of the press conference.
The event was held at Sacramento in the Haveli of the historic governor of California.
Newsom said, “What is happening in the United States is not normal. We cannot consider it normal.”
The MLAs of the state of Texas have been out of the state since Monday, breaking the quorum to prevent the Republican-Ageon-Consestiled Chamber from voting on the proposed redistribution scheme, which can give five more house seats to GOPs in the state.
IllinoisNew York and Massachusetts All have hosted Texas Democrats this week – a situation that has searched the Texas Republican for arrest warrant for MLAs.
The Newsom Texas has been one of the most vocal critics of the Taxas Legislature’s plan, announced a push of its own to resume the Congress districts of California, which could increase the number of seats held by Democrats.
Newsom said, “We are talking about emergency measures to answer what is happening in Texas – and we will make it zero.”
“We are ready, and we will fight with fire,” said Rape Robert Rivas, Chairman of California State Assembly. “California will do whatever he does to protect voice, protect votes and protect every American rights.”
Earlier in the week, in response to Newsom’s push, California GOP representative Kevin Kelly announced that he would introduce the law Stopping mid -decade redistribution,
The Friday meeting highlighted the redistributed push of California, which is accompanied by Newsom and other California leaders that they are with them in the states led by Texas or other GOPs.
The leaders said that they would release the maps of Redrawn California next week. In November, the lawyers have the deadline of 22 August to approve the maps to get them on a special election voting.
