Patna/New Delhi: A colleagues controlling NDA have supported the ongoing special intensive amendment (SIR) of EC of electoral rolls in Bihar, which describes the practice as “regular and necessary”. Some NDA officials told TOI that they have no problem or apprehension about Sir, although they are keeping a close watch on the exercise. He said that they are holding review meetings with booth level agents to assess the situation, and there is no problem so far.Jitan Ram Manjhi, the founder of Ham (Hindustan Awam Morcha) and Chirag Paswan, the boss of LJP (Lok Janashtak Party), both Union Minister, came out strongly in support of the practice of EC.In view of the allegation of the opposition, the stand of the Allies is important that the drive of the Poll Commission is to disintegrate Dalits and the most backward castes. While Dalits are the mainstays of LJP and Ham, JDU attracts its support from MBC and OBC sections.Paswan on Thursday accused the constitutional institutions of deliberately reducing. “After EVM, they are trying to blame Sir because they see him staring at his face in the state election,” he said.Manjhi resonated this, claimed that fake voter registration had long benefited the opposition. He said, “I know many seats, where more than 20,000 bogus voters were registered before 2005. The opposition wants to continue it for its benefit. Sir will identify the names and strike them from the list,” he said. Manjhi alleged that RJD was protesting as he had created fake voters in every constituency.National Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha, an NDA partner, urged critics to urge to understand the EC move before raising objections. “People are raising questions without knowing,” he said.
