After an F -35C fighter jet, a Navy pilot went down near the naval air station Lemore in Southern California, causing a fierce accident and reaction to the Cal Fire.
NAS Lamur said “an aviation incident on the operation side of the installation took place at around 6:30 pm on Wednesday.
A report by the California Highway Patrol said that Jet crashed into an area near the intersection of Jet South Dickenson Avenue and West Cadilac Avenue.
“We can successfully confirm the pilot and are safe. There are no additional affected workers,” NAS Lemooore confirmed through Facebook.

According to the Cal Fire incident report, the accident caused a small grass fire on about ten acres. It was fully vested till 8:32 pm local time.
Details around the cause of the accident were not immediately available.
The NAS Lemooore is the largest master jet base of the Navy and is home to more than a dozen squadron – training and operations.

Base said on Facebook that F-35C involved in the accident was attached to a special training unit for a fighter squadron (VFA) 125 “Rough Reders” strikes.

NAS Lemooore is the only Navy base of F-35 Lightning II, according to its website. It is also a house of more than half of the branch’s F/A-18e/F Super Hornet aircraft.
