New Delhi: A woman left her 15 -day -old child in a local train in Navi Mumbai and left behind by handing over the child to two other passengers and traveling further, police said on Wednesday.The incident took place on Monday afternoon. An official confirmed that efforts were underway to trace him.According to officials, the women were sitting near the door of a suburban train on the port line. She asked two other female passengers to help them get off the train as she was carrying one baby in one hand and taking goods in the other.Both passengers should have landed at Junagar station. The mother then handed over the child to them, pretending that she would get her luggage. However, instead of getting down, she stayed at the door and left the train, the police said.First, both women thought that the woman did not accidentally align and would return with the second train, but she did not return.
