New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor’s silence is making more noise than words. PTI said that the Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram led a delegation under India’s diplomatic outreach after the Pahgam terror attack, rejecting the party’s proposal to participate in the debate of Parliament on Operation Sindoor, PTI quoted sources as saying.According to senior Congress leaders, Gaurav Gogoi and K Suresh were contacted to speak during a significant debate to Tharoor. A senior Congress official told PTI, “It is a practice whether senior leaders are asked if they are interested in speaking on a major issue.” “Gaurav Gogoi and K Suresh approached him and asked if he was interested in speaking during the debate on Operation Sindoor, in which he said that he is not interested and would like to speak on the ports bill.,Instead of national security discussion, Tharoor chose to speak on Indian port bills, 2025. Their decision follows the days of speculation, especially after its strong support of operation of operation vermilion by the Central Government. His vocal support from the Center’s action post-Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor deepened the rift with the leadership of the party, casting uncertainty on his role in the discussion.Tharoor led a diplomatic mission for the United States and countries of the US to support rally for India after his crossborr strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan. But his praise for the government’s functions appeared out of the sink with the official line of the Congress party, focusing on the alleged intelligence failures and international consequences – including US President Donald Trump’s controversial claims of arbitration of peace between India and Pakistan. When asked directly, whether he would speak in Parliament on Operation Sindoor, Tharoor had secretly responded to reporters outside Parliament House, saying: “Silent fast, silence fast.”
